Ahead of elections in Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a rally in Dakshina Kannada's Udupi district. While addressing his rally he coined the 'Ease of Doing Murder' attack against the Congress party.
"On one side we are doing ease of doing business for the people of our country but on the other side what is Congress doing? When it comes to Karnataka they are not interested in doing ease of business. The country is doing ease of business but Congress is doing ease of murder here".
He further hit out at Congress party and its President saying that the way Rahul Gandhi spoke about former PM Deve Gowda was rather shameful.
"There might be political differences between parties but civility & respect should be maintained. Whenever former PM Deve Gowda Ji visits me in Delhi I always welcome him with respect & always give him time. The way Rahul Gandhi talked about him recently is shameful"
PM Modi during his speech condemned the murder of BJP Karyakartas and demanded answerers from the Congress Party.
"Violence cannot exist in a democracy. It is shameful how BJP Karyakartas were murdered in Karnataka. The Congress must answer on increasing crimes".
The Prime Minister also mentioned the Jan Dhan Yojana and took this opportunity to criticise the Congress Party.
"Govt opened bank accounts for the poor. Over 31 crores accounts have been opened under Jan Dhan Yojana. If Congress had ensured their bank accounts, the poor would have contributed so much to the economy," he said.
The Prime Minister will be holding three rallies in the poll-bound state on Day 1 of his campaign trail. He will hold rallies in Chamarajanagar, Udupi, and Belagavi.
according to sources, the PM is expected to address at least 15 rallies in the next 8 days.
