Yeddyurappa Wins Shikaripur

Mr. Yeddyurappa is entering the State Assembly from Shikaripur segment for the eighth time.


B.S. Yeddyurappa, president of BJP State unit has won from Shikaripur seat by a margin of 35,397 votes.

Mr. Yeddyurappa has bagged 86,983 while his nearest rival G.H. Malathesh of Congress managed to get 51,586 votes. H.T. Baligar, JD(S) nominee has secured 13,191 votes.

Mr. Yeddyurappa is entering the State Assembly from Shikaripur segment for the eighth time.

Speaking to presspersons, B.Y. Raghavendra, his son and Shikaripur MLA has said that the infrastructure upgradation works initiated by his father in Shikaripur during his tenure as Chief Minister was responsible for the victory.
